A former pediatrician serving life behind bars for sexually abusing scores of children has been moved from Delaware to an out-of-state prison.

Department of Correction officials confirmed Monday that Earl Bradley, who is serving 14 life sentences, was transferred last Wednesday. They declined to identify the state that accepted him under an interstate compact.

In deciding to transfer Bradley, the DOC noted the impact he has had on many Delawareans, including workers and other inmates at the Smyrna prison.

According to court records, police were able to document more than 100 incidents of sexual abuse. Prosecutors presented 89 separate incidents captured on video recorded by Bradley between 1998 and 2009, involving 86 individual children.
