Pedestrian struck, killed on Pa. turnpike Saturday morning

    State Police say a person was struck and killed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike this morning in Fort Washington.

    WPVI-TV reports the accident happened around 3:00 a.m., when an unidentified person was struck and killed while walking on the westbound shoulder of the interstate.

    According to the report, the driver of the vehicle stopped and called for help.

    It’s unclear why the person was walking on the turnpike.
