Pawlowski jury deadlocked

The jury debating the murder trial of Rasheed Scrugs is reportedly deadlocked in its penalty decision. Scrugs, 35, pleaded guilty last month to the 2009 shooting death of Philadelphia Police Officer John Pawlowski.

The judge now must decide to order the jury to continue its deliberation of the death penalty, or allow the jurors to remain deadlocked, as Action News reports. The latter would result in an automatic life sentence in prison for Scrugs.
