The accident involving an overturned vehicle is north of Exit 40, according to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
All traffic is being diverted at Exit 38, 511nj.org reports.
Authorities are conducting an accident investigation after at least one person was extricated from a vehicle and airlifted to a trauma center, according to emergency radio transmissions.
