Parking problems: West Chester Borough Council approves residential parking permit

A petition signed by a group of West Chester residents who say county workers took up all of the parking on their block has led to the passing of a permit parking ordinance.

The Daily Local News reports the 4-3 vote would allow for permit parking to the residents of the 400 block of West Miner Street.

The vote came after the borough’s parking committee recommended that borough council deny the residents request, according to the Daily Local News.

According to the report, residents from neighboring blocks attended the borough meeting to express their concerns of how permit parking would impact surrounding neighborhoods.
