Parents welcome sextuplets at Abington Memorial Hospital

Mothers and fathers across the world think of their newborns as precious gifts. Few of those, however, receive six gifts at once.

This is the case for one couple, who are now the proud parents of six babies — three boys and three girls. The babies were born at Abington Memorial Hospital today.

The parents wish to remain anonymous, and details about the babies’ conditions were not readily available. All six are currently in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the hospital, according to CBS Philly.

The only other set of sextuplets in the region are six of the the Gosselin children of reality television fame. Oddly enough, there are three boys and three girls in that set, as well.

We’re guessing the parents’ request for privacy means these kids won’t be starring in any TV special.
