Paper pushers

Come December, 26 townships in Burlington County, N.j. will be participating in the county’s paper recycling program. The addition of 17,000 new paper recycling carts across three municipalities is the second expansion of the two-year-old program.

Eastampton, Palmyra and Pemberton Borough will join residents of neighboring townships who already own the 96-gallon carts, reports the Burlington County Times.

Though the size of the carts have presented transporting and storage problems for some, the county’s consideration to implement single-stream recycling would allow residents to use the large cart for all their recycling needs.
