Pa. skydiver dies after parachute gets tangled

    A Pennsylvania man died over the weekend in Brown Township after his parachute failed to open.

    NBC10 reports 53-year-old Chris Brown of State College was jumping with Sky Dive of Happy Valley when his chute appeared to open but became tangled around 10 a.m. Saturday.

    Witnesses report seeing Brown spiral toward the ground.

    Mifflin County Coroner Daniel Lynch tells NBC10 Brown’s emergency chute failed to open.

    According to the coroner, Brown was considered an experienced skydiver.

    The accident is now under investigation.
