PA farmers donate 300 pounds of potatoes to Philabundance

A Pennsylvania farm has prepared a special harvest of potatoes, but the farmer’s aren’t planning to sell the produce.

Nearly 300 pounds of potatoes from the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation at Ridley Creek State Park are set to be donated to Philabundance to help feed those in need, according to the Daily Times.

The Daily Times reports the large donation will make its way to the local non-profit this week.

Philabundance director of development Marianne Lynch told the Daily Times the organization has seen an 11 percent shortage in fresh produce donations.
