Owner of Bustleton-based ambulance company charged with health care fraud

The owner of Bustleton’s Brotherly Love Ambulance faces up to 15 years in prison for an alleged health care scheme.

Feda Kuran, 37, is accused of transporting patients who didn’t need the ambulance service, as well as billing patients transported in personal cars of Brotherly Love employees for ambulance services.

Brotherly Love Ambulance is located at 2200 Michener St., a property city records indicates is zoned for limited industrial use. The city’s directory of licensed ambulance services lists the company’s address as 9413 Bustleton Ave. Unit F, zoned for commercial use with parking.

If convicted, Kuran could also owe up to $250,000 in fines.
