OSHA downgrades construction fines for Levoy Theater collapse

Millville’s Levoy Theater collapsed one year and one month ago today, and the sort-of anniversary brings positive news for Ogren Construction, the company working on the theater during its collapse.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has reduced the company’s fines from $9,800 to $1,000, the News of Cumberland County reports.
Ogren contested the initial fines, arguing against OSHA’s ruling that the company did not comply with safety and stability standards. Upon further review, OSHA agreed. The citations were downgraded from “serious” to “other than serious.”
