One night in Wilmington: Multiple shootings, one dead

Both victims were taken to Christiana Hospital and are listed in stable and critical condition, respectively.

While officers were securing the crime scene on Brown Street, police learned of three more shooting victims being treated at St. Francis and Wilmington Hospital.

All of the victims at those hospitals had arrived in personal vehicles.

Doctors also helped a 21-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his shoulder, leg and abdomen. He is listed in critical condition. Both victims were transported from St. Francis to Christiana Hospital.

The fifth victim, who arrived at Wilmington Hospital’s ER, was described as a 20-year-old male with gunshots to his lower extremities. He was taken to Christiana, but eventually died of his injuries. Police are witholding his name, pending notification of next of kin.
