One arrested, one still sought in West Oak Lane shooting

Fewer than two weeks after publicly releasing video footage of a December shooting in West Oak Lane, police announced Wednesday that one of two suspects was taken into custody.

Stefon Locke, 21, of the 1900 block of 73rd Ave., was arrested without incident on Tuesday. He will be charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and related offenses in connection with the Dec. 27, 2011 incident.

On that night, a 28-year-old man was sitting inside his vehicle near the corner of 19th St. and 72nd Ave. when Locke allegedly entered and exited the vehicle. Then, another man approached, pulled out a handgun and fired several shots that critically injured, but did not kill, the victim.

Police identified the alleged gunman as Shaquille Henderson, 19, of the 1500 block of N. 13th St., who remains at-large. A warrant has been issued for Henderson’s arrest and police ask anyone with information to call (215) 686-3353.
