Police say several men were playing basketball at the Roosevelt Boulevard fitness center, but began to argue over the final score.

That’s when, police say, Muhammad and four other men went to their car, grabbed a gun and began shooting inside the gym.

Lieutenant Frank Vanore says on that particular night the gym allows non-members to participate in activities for a small fee. He says this type of incident in a privately owned gym is very rare
Vanore: We haven’t seen anything like this, where inside a facility like this, a gym with an incident occurring. It’s def something we haven’t seen a lot of.

World Gym will not comment on the incident.
