On the grid

Want to check out broadband availability throughout Pennsylvania? You’re in luck: As reported by TechnicallyPhilly.com, the Commonwealth has launched an interactive broadband map “to detail broadband access in an effort to support broadand stimulus projects.”

The project was part of a stimulus grant aimed at showing wireline, cable and wireless networks and identifying anchor institutions like schools, hospitals and government buildings.

The information will be used to help business owners and residents identify places to locate their operations or families. It will also be part of a national map, slated to launch in February.
