Old bones discovered at Willow Grove cemetery

Children visiting Fairview Cemetery in Willow Grove discovered something straight out of an R.L. Stein novel: bones. About 50 bones had been unearthed in the cemetery.
The Associated Press reports the bones — including two skulls — were likely unearthed by heavy equipment. The condition of the bones and a 48-star American flag resting near them suggests the bodies were originally buried before 1959 — before caskets were buried with concrete liners that prevent cave-ins and unearthing.
