Check out the galleries in Old City, walk down the Race Street Connector, and head out onto the Pier for food from the Bike Caffe, music, and performers. Free.

The Magic Gardens is celebrating Dia De Los Muertos all month and kicks its celebration off with a day to decorate the ofrenda (an altar to honor the dearly departed) and create Day of the Dead crafts. Free with admission.

To celebrate National Coming-Out Day, Outfest 2011 is a huge block party with street vendors, flea market, high heel race, dancing and performances – including the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts aerialists. At 2pm a historic marker will be placed at Giovanni’s Room, America’s oldest LGBT bookstore.
