    Drawing Marathon VI

    For this special event, DCAD’s Toni & Stuart B. Young Gallery in DCAD’s historic landmark building will be transformed into a 5,000-square-foot studio where from 9 AM to 9 PM you will work alongside DCAD’s faculty, staff, students and artists of all experience levels. Come for one hour or stay for all 12! Please bring your own drawing or painting supplies. Delaware College of Art and Design, October 16th, 9 a.m.

    Hagley Craft Fair

    This artisans’ marketplace brings talented artisans from the Mid-Atlantic area to display and sell fine arts and crafts. This premier show will feature works in wood, pottery, jewelry, fibers, metal, and other media. Admission is $5, free for members and children under six years old. Use Hagley’s Buck Road East entrance off Route 100 in Wilmington, Delaware. Hagley Museum and Library, October 16th and 17th, 10 a.m.

    Women’s Sekere Ensemble

    This colorful and engaging ensemble of women plays and sings traditional music of the many countries of the African continent. First & Central Presbyterian Church, October 21st, 12:30 p.m.

    Wine and Beer Festival

    The event will feature approximately 6 wineries or breweries. There will be BBQ food and pizza available for purchase, provided by Pizzadili Catering, as well as homemade ice cream for purchase, provided by the Felton Fire Company. There will be much to do including playing horseshoes and volleyball, participating in a keg toss and in a live grape stomping, and so much more. There will be live music for all to enjoy as well!     Hangar Flying with Dr. Milton Rhodes

    Dr. Rhodes, historian for the Air Transport Command Association, will talk about airlift history, from ferry flights to tankers, and his specialty, radar.
    Join us for this exciting presentation at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door and FREE to museum members. The Air Mobility Command Museum, October 19th, 2 p.m.
