Nutter to declare Pie Day Thursday in Philadelphia
Thanksgiving is just two weeks away, believe it or not, and Philly is celebrating with pie.
To help MANNA’s fundraising efforts for people with life-threatening illnesses, Mayor Michael Nutter will declare Thursday as Pie Day in the city, kicking off the event with several pie-themed contests.
The Philly Phanatic, now in the off-season of course, will join the party at the Marathon, while a Pie Man travels around Center City from 10 to noon. Use social media to report where you saw him, and you can win a prize.
