Nutter, Jay-Z to announce Parkway music festival
One Parkway music festival just isn’t enough.
The Roots will be back in town the week of July 4th for the annual week-long Welcome America celebration on the Ben Franklin Parkway.
And as Mayor Michael Nutter is set to announce today, Philadelphia will host another holiday weekend concert this year.
Nutter and Jay-z will detail their plans for the “Made in America” music festival set to take place here Labor Day weekend.
Multiple stages and more than two dozen musical acts are expected. No word on why Jay-Z, a proud New Yorker, wants to host a show in Philly.
