Numbers of Delaware unemployed drop

The Philadelphia-Wilmington-Atlantic City region shows a 1.9% increase in the numbers of unemployed

Delaware’s unemployment numbers are still higher than they were a year ago, but have dropped almost a point from their high in February and March.

June numbers released Friday by the Delaware Department of Labor show Delaware at 8.5%.  Nationally, the unemployment numbers are 9.5%.  That translates to 36,300 people out of work.  There were 1,000 more people employed at this time last year.
