Northern Liberties Superfresh opens today
It was more than a year ago that plans were announced for a new shopping complex in Northern Liberties, anchored by a supermarket.
A Pathmark was coming. Then its parent company went bankrupt, The Pathmark wasn’t coming. And just a month ago it was announced: Superfresh was coming, and soon.
Today marks the opening day for the second-floor store at Second Street and Girard Avenue, complete with 120 employees and some locally source products.
Just in time for customers to stock up before Irene.
