Northeast man dies from swine flu

A Northeast (neighborhood not disclosed) man died from swine flu and related complications yesterday morning following a two-week hospitalization.

Kevin Hirsch, 26, died shortly before 10 a.m. in Aria-Health Torresdale, succumbing to swine flu, complicated by pneumonia and other infections.

Hirsch’s father, Michael, credits a Facebook group for keeping his son alive for so long. Nearly 1,000 people around the world logged in to post encouraging messages to Kevin, who almost died four times during his time in the hospital.
