North Wales woman arrested in ex-husband’s shooting death

Authorities have charged a 63-year-old woman with shooting and killing her ex-husband after he removed belongings from her suburban Philadelphia home.

Montgomery County prosecutors and North Wales police say Hsiu-Chin Lin was arrested Monday and faces first-degree murder and related charges over Sunday’s shooting.

According to a criminal complaint, the ex-husband, Chien-Kuo Lin, contacted police asking for an officer to stand by while he collected his belongings from his ex-wife’s home. An officer responded and waited about 30 minutes until Lin was finished.

About an hour later, police received a report of a domestic disturbance at the same address. Officers said they found Hsiu-Chin Lin sitting in the kitchen with a revolver on the table. Her ex-husband was found dead in the garage with an apparent gunshot wound to the torso.
