North Street project gets underway in Dover

Downtown Dover Partnership breaks ground on a trio of projects designed to improve North Street.
The projects, funded with $3 million from the state, include the creation of Loockerman Way Plaza, which will become a brick paved walkway between Loockerman and North Street.  The location is designed to serve as a location for future festivals and other downtown events.  The project will include 38 new parking spaces.  Another project will bury communication cables so telephone poles can be removed.  The third project involves consolidation of six separate parking lots into a single lot with one entrance and one exit.
