N.J. town to adopt sick-day donation policy

City workers in Millville, New Jersey will soon be able to share their accumulated sick days with co-workers.

On September 7, the town’s City Commission will hold a special session to begin amending its personnel policies and process to include “donated leave,” reports The Daily Journal. Once the measure is complete, workers will be able to donate up to 10 sick/vacation days to another co-worker.

The Millville school system has been working under this policy since 2002.
