Newark PD release video of attempted arson suspect

Police in Newark, Delaware are trying to identify a man seen walking down Academy St. who may be involved in a pair of attempted arsons.

Newark Police posted the video on their Facebook page asking residents to help them identify the man seen walking while wearing blue jeans and no shirt. 

Investigators believe the man may be involved in a pair of attempted arsons which happened early in the morning on September 20 in the 100 block of Victoria Ct. in Newark.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity is asked to call Newark Police Detective Daniel Bystricky at 302-366-7110 or via email at daniel.bystricky@cj.state.de.us
