New townhouse, restaurant projects set to come to Manayunk

The Manayunk neighborhood in northwest Philadelphia will soon see two new projects, after the Manayunk Neighborhood Council gave its approval ahead of zoning hearings.

PlanPhilly reports a new restaurant on Main Street and a townhouse neighborhood on Leverington Avenue won the approval of the MNC during a monthly meeting last week.

The townhouse project, presented by developer Andy Thomas, includes 17 townhouses with rear garages and off-street parking spaces at Leverington Avenue and Silverwood Street, according to PlanPhilly.

PlanPhilly says the restaurant, which the MNC voted to support, features seating for 100 customers in a beer-centered theme in the former Mainly Shoes building at 4400 Main Street.
