New security checks at NFL games will take longer

New NFL standards mean security checks at the Linc — or wherever you may be watching football — will take longer.

The league has asked all 32 teams to implement the new checks at their stadiums. A pat-down from ankles to knees will now be in place, aside from the usual waist-up check for contraband and the peek inside womens’ purses.

Fox29 reports the enhanced procedure isn’t due to any one specific incident — not even the guy who used an illegal stun gun at Sunday’s Cowboys/Jets game.
