New poll shows more men than women approve of Corbett
A poll released today shows more men than women in Pennsylvania favor Gov. Tom Corbett, but neither hits the 50 percent mark.
Of the 1,277 registered voters polled, 30 percent of women and 48 percent of men approve of Corbett. It’s a big shift from a similar poll released in April, as the Associated Press reports.
The Quinnipiac University poll also shows an overall 39 percent approval rate for the Republican governor, and that 38 percent of voters disapprove of the job he’s doing. April’s numbers revealed roughly the same divide, the there was only a 7-point gender divide instead of this poll’s 18-point schism.
