New Jersey school district encourages use of mobile devices

    It used to be mobile devices were taken away when used in class, but a school district in Bernards Township is actually encouraging students to use them.

    The Star-Ledger reports students in the district’s middle and high schools can use their mobile devices in the classroom for assignments.

    According to the Star-Ledger, districts across the state have been considering the idea, in part because of tight school budgets. Many districts are wondering if it’s more efficient to let students use their mobile devices already at their disposal.
