New Jersey joins list of states that ban bath salts

New Jersey has joined Pennsylvania and other states in banning bath salts. Gov. Chris Christie signed legislation yesterday to add the chemicals used to make the synthetic drug to the state’s list of prohibited substances.

N.J.’s version of the ban is called “Pamela’s Law” in memory of Rutgers student Pamela Schmidt, who was murdered by her boyfriend whom authorities believe was high on bath salts at the time.
