New Jersey drivers among safest in the nation

New Jersey drivers, it seems, are safe. Not necessarily fast or good at making left turns. But safe, yes.

The state ranks second in the nation for driver safety, according to a report from Advocates for Auto and Highway Safety.

NJ.com reports the ranking is based on seat belts and other protection, distracted driving/text messaging, impaired driving, teen driving and child protection laws. DC came in first.
