New design would eliminate flooding from Bala Cynwyd Middle School

Lower Merion School District officials have announced plans to redesign a portion of Bala Cynwyd Middle School’s property to control rainwater runoff.

The up-o $10,000 redesign hasn’t been drawn up yet, but involves changing an old terracotta drainage system, repairing a retaining wall and incorporating a rain garden, the Main Line Times reports.

A contract should be awarded in May, with work planned over the summer.
