Neighbor says Warminster residents overreacted to luring prank

Police in Warminster have determined a teenager who drove up in a van and offered a child candy was only trying to pull off a thoughtless prank.

That didn’t sit well with residents, and that didn’t sit well with the teen’s neighbors.

Patch reports a neighbor of one of the teenage passengers in the van wants commenters to cool it with their criticisms. It was a stupid prank, the neighbor said, but nothing more.

The 19-year-old driver and the passengers struck fear in parents and sparked a police investigation, ultimately drawing disorderly conduct charges.
