– On July 1, 2011 the all-boys school Chestnut Hill Academy merged with the all-girls Springside School. The new name is Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.

The new school will continue with single-sex education in the lower and middle school divisions. The Upper School (high school), partially co-ed this year, will be fully co-ed in 2012-2013.
