NBC10 extends equal air time to Karen Brown, Diop Olugbala

NBC10 and GOP mayoral candidate Karen Brown have come to an agreement about Brown’s appearance on the network to get her equal air time after Mayor Michael Nutter’s live town hall aired last week.

Brown filed a complaint against the station when the first equal air time offer fell short of the primetime time slot Nutter was given. Now, NBC10’s Kathleen Burke tells our Dave Davies, “She will appear on a special edition of our ‘@Issue’ show on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on our primary channel and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on NBC Philadelphia Nonstop.”

Independent candidate Diop Olugbala has been offered and has accepted the same deal for the following week. Both programs will feature questions from host Steve Highsmith and questions submitted in advance by NBC10 viewers.
