NBA expected to cancel two more weeks of regular season games

The NBA is expected to announce today plans to cancel two more weeks of regular season games as the player lockout continues, further shortening the inaugural season of the new Sixers owners.

League Commissioner David Stern announced two weeks ago, after first canceling pre-season games, that the first two weeks of the regular season were canceled, calling off all play until mid-November. The latest cancellation wipes more than 100 additional games, ESPN reports, with Nov. 28 now being the earliest start date.

NBA owners and players met Monday and no other meetings have been scheduled since revenue and salary negotiations fell apart.
