“Don’t make us work ’til we die,” is the message protestors are carrying nationwide this week as they speak out against cuts to Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare.
Forty events this week in more than a dozen states will target House Republicans who voted to cut funding to the three programs and encourage Senate Democrats to hold the line against including Social Security as part of a deficit-reduction deal. The event is a movement by the Strengthen Social Security Campaign.
