National Liberty Museum looking for young heroes
Know a young hero? The National Liberty Museum has already honored 15 local teachers for work in their schools and their communities, but there are plenty of students in the region deserving of recognition. And the museum wants your input.
The public can nominate local students for their work “for positive change in their schools and communities” as part of the museum’s and TD Bank’s Young Heroes Award. Nominations are being accepted now through June 25 for the 11th annual event.
Heroes are those who’ve show achievement in any of the following:
Peer mediation groups, peaceful conflict resolution & violence prevention work
Volunteer work, mentoring & tutoring
Civic and community-building activities
Artistic expression of peace, diversity and freedom
You can access the nomination form online or by calling 215-925-2800.
