NAACP Presdient visits Wilmington

NAACP President Benjamin Jealous will be in Wilmington this morning, to show his support for House Bill 10.

Benjamin Jealous will join Wilmington Mayor Dennis Williams at the City/County Building to show support for an amendment to Delaware’s Constitution that would eliminate the five-year waiting period for eligible felons to have their voting rights restored.  Also known as the Hazel Plant Act, the amendment has already been approved in one session of the General Assembly.  It just needs to be approved in another session to officially become part of the Constitution.
