N. Broad expansion and new signage in Center City

A short stroll from 12th and Callowhill streets to University City brought lots of recent construction and street signage work into plain view Tuesday.

First up was the massive, multi-block Convention Center expansion project that looms over North Broad Street where the PLICO building once stood.

Next up was Broad and Walnut, where the Center City District now makes it clear where SEPTA stops.

Just before crossing the Schuylkill, PlanPhilly noticed the Walnut Street bridge is also getting spuced up with new signage directing pedestrians to the river trail and dock below the bridge.
