Newcomers please arrive at 6:30 p.m. for a brief orientation. We will hear reports regarding different models of aging-in-place communities and what we might learn from them. There will be Q&A with reps of these villages. Forty-eight local residents attended our Dec. 3rd meeting and gave high marks to such interests as:SOCIAL: developing neighborhood network & skills bank; Companionship and social network; coop living – younger/older pairs; group activities & outings, concerts, book group, knitting group, etc. HOUSEHOLD HELP: handyman; electronics specialist to troubleshoot (computers, etc.); resource list of service professionals. MOBILITY: Temporary support/help in times of special need; car pooling/car share/rides when needed.
