The “soupy” conditions will continue all day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms passing through the area intermittently.

Mostly cloudy. Highs around 80 along the coast, low 80s inland. A southwest wind will develop, increasing to 5 to 10 mph later. Warm tonight (around 70 degrees), with showers and thunderstorms remaining a threat.

Slowly improving tomorrow, then nice weather returns Wednesday through the remainder of the week, featuring a dry west/northwest wind and temperatures on either side of 80.

BOAT/BEACH: With the southerly flow, the ocean temperature has dropped, with readings now in the upper 60s to 70. Breakers and ocean swells are running about two to three feet. There is a low risk of rip currents, but always swim near a lifeguard.
