Perfect shot
With all the bear hunt hullabaloo, here’s a story to… warm your heart?
The Associated Press reports that an 86-year-old late-stage cancer patient wanted to take to the woods one last time for the opening of Pennsylvania’s two-week deer season.
So Lester Warner’s son lugged an old recliner up the side of Broadtop Mountain, in Huntingdon County.
Warner was hunting from the comfort of the recliner on opening day last week when a huge 8-point buck came into view. He stood up and squeezed the trigger.
It was a perfect shot.
Warner, who lives near York, says he’s thankful to have gotten the chance.
