More than 700 Jeeps to invade Wildwood this weekend

Hundreds of Jeep owners will descend on Wildwood this weekend for an annual gathering.

According to the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority, over 700 Jeeps will participate in the second annual “Jeep Beach Invasion.”

The festivities begin Friday at 5 p.m. at Fox Park across from the Wildwoods Convention Center, including live music, food trucks, beer garden, and vendors.

The Jeepsters will head to the beach at Schellenger Avenue on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Participants can display their Jeeps on the beach, undertake an obstacle course, and decorate their vehicles for a jungle themed beach parade.

The event is free for the public but Jeep participants must pay a registration fee benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
