Details of how many temps were hired locally aren’t available. However, one of the regions largest temp agencies, New Jersey-based ACCU Staffing, is anecdotally seeing an improved job market, according to company vice president Ed Damm.

Damm: The last September, October, November have been very strong for us. We’re seeing that there are a lot of our clients that are actually utilizing our services again.

Nationwide in November, there were 1.8-million people working in temporary services… that’s still below the more than 2.1-million temp workers on the job in November 2008.
