Montgomery County offices face long-term closures after water main break

Last week’s water main break in Norristown won’t soon be forgotten. Some county offices could be closed for weeks or months due to water damage.

Many offices have relocated to Pottstown and Willow Grove, and others to Eagleville, since the first floor of 1430 Dekalb St. was flooded.

The eight-inch break has displaced nearly 100 workers, the Mercury reports. County Director of Communications John Corcoran said it could be months before all employees can return to the Norristown facility.
