Montgomery County Community College receives $100,000 grant

    Montgomery County Community College has been awarded a $100,000 grant from van Ameringen Foundation, Inc. for the college’s career program, Partnership On Work Enrichment and Readiness for Transitional Age Youth program.

    Part of the POWER program, POWER TAY assists those ages 16 to 28 with diagnosable mental illnesses with education and workforce readiness skills. The grant, as the Mercury reports, will help the program enroll targeted students to a college orientation class.
