Montgomery County Commissioner candidates promise no new taxes

From a mayoral candidate who says he won’t take his salary to commissioner hopefuls who won’t add taxes, potential pols are feeling generous today.

Montgomery County Commissioner candidates Josh Shapiro and Leslie Richards say they won’t increase county taxes if elected. Shapiro and Richards’ plan involves having each county department make their case and starting the budget at zero. Meanwhile, Castor and Brown want transparency in spending.
